Personality: Renjiro is a self obsessed egomaniac that cares only for himself most of the time. He only cares about others when it’s a life or death situation. He concentrates more on his looks than anything else. Call him ugly and feel the wrath of Renjiro. Although Renjiro is very self conscious and mostly cares for himself, he is rather charismatic and charming. He's a ladies’ man with his own fan club, which he loves. The only time he will stop caring just for himself is if his team or direct family is in grave danger. Renjiro as a Vice Captain is a very powerful person and it shows with his cockiness

Released Zanpakuto Description: The sword changes shape completely into the image above. When creating flames the temperature of the flames produced stops at the hilt because it has tungsten in the hilt which can absorb and stay cold due to its melting point being 3422 °C and a heat absorption rate of 52.31 kJ•mol−1. This means his hilt has fire and heat absorption properties built into the raw materials used when forging the sword. It reaches a maximum temperature of 1,000 °C.

The abilities of Kaiton Ryū are can’t be measured by mere scale of power or skill as it’s a combination of both. Kaiton Ryū being a dragon can naturally control and produce fire. Therefore the power of the Zanpakuto Kaiton Ryū is the creation and control of fire. With slight movements of Kaiton Ryū Renjiro creates whips of fire that shoot forward. A single whip of fire is as strong as a level 30 kido but costs 1 stamina for each whip.

Due to the nature of creating fire and manipulating it in its shikai form, Renjiro will lose 1 stamina point when he takes control of an opponent’s fire kido. Due to the power of his shikai form Renjiro can manipulate any fire kido up to level 30.

Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Burn to the heavens, Kaiton Ryū!

Zanpakuto Spirit: Kaiton Ryū, the fire dragon of the east, is a lazy dragon standing on its hind legs at 9ft. He wears sunglasses and smokes a pipe of tobacco.

Bankai Description: When this form of bankai has been activated his shikai abilities to manipulate fire become easier and therefore allow Renjiro to manipulate any fire busied attack or kido he uses. The only exception to this is when he tries to manipulate his opponent’s kidos then he can only manipulate level 1 - 50 fire busied kido. With kido level 51 - 70 Renjiro would only be able to bend it off target by 3 inches but not control it. Anything above 70 (aka 71+), cannot be controlled or bent. He loses 1 stamina point for every fire kido he takes control over and loses 1.5 stamina for every fire kido he bends.

This bankai form also increases the power of the fire that he produces. It changes to baby blue signifying its change in combustion state from incomplete combustion to complete combustion, raising the speed and strength of the fire but again when creating fire the heat stops just before the hilt. The temperature stops at the hilt because it has tungsten in the hilt which can absorb and stay cold due to its melting point being 3422 °C and a heat absorption rate of 52.31 kJ•mol−1. This means his hilt has fire and heat absorption properties built into the raw materials used when forging the sword. The temperature of the flames remains 1000 degrees c but is faster and stronger than his orange shikai flames.

However because of the strength and power of his bankai Renjiro needs a lot of concentration and pure will power to manipulate this type of fire and therefore lasts for 10 posts and has a cool down of 5. In addition the whips he was able to produce in his shikai form are boosted to the strength and speed of a level 50 kido however cost 1.5 stamina per whip.

Bankai techniques

To perform these techniques he must surrender his sword by thinking the word 'I release'. By doing so the sword will burst into fire reishi and instantly be absorbed into Renjiros body causing no harm or damage at all to his body. However this will cost him 1 stamina point to absorb the reishi; this reishi cannot be absorbed by anyone or anything other than Renjiro (e.g. the reishi cannot be absorbed by Quincy weapons). His normal fire manipulation is still in effect but he uses his hands to manipulate and form the fire instead of using this Zanpakuto.

Fire Dragons Breathe - He places his free hand to his lips and breaths a inferno of fire in front of him. Uses 1 stamina per use and is 3 meters wide by 2 meters tall by as much as 30 meters long.

Fire Dragons Skin - His entire skin turns to scales making his skin as tough as re-enforced steel. Uses 3 stamina per use (with an additional 1 stamina loss per post after initiation) - indefinite use until Renjiro returns his form to normal or he runs out of stamina.

Physical attacks (like punches) or physically formed elements (ice or earth spear) have very little damage (reduced by 5 stat strength) however the force behind them can still knock Renjiro back.

In addition being that dragons are naturally fire busied creatures the scales have the abilities take fire attacks head on and nullify their heat attacks (for kido below 25) and reduce kido 26+ by 50%. However nullifying the heat effects of a fire kido does not mean that the force and strength behind a fire kido is negated at all.

The main weakness of the scale like armour is the fact that it is fire busied. Therefore its logical weaknesses are water and ice. All water and ice techniques are given an extra 10 points effectiveness if the technique has a 50 or lower kido ranking. On the other hand if the kido is greater than 51+ than the extra effectiveness is +5.

The unusual elements that have no real direct weakness or strength to the scale like armour is earth and lightning. The earth element has no real effect on the armour as its use is mainly physically formed projectiles. Lightning on the other hand is the opposite. Its damage is the same as if the scales weren’t there but the lightning’s effects on the body are reduced from paralysing to numbing. An additional note is that non elemental binding kido is 100% effective as if the armour wasn’t there.

Fire Dragons Fists - Fire will engulf both his hands and to an easy 800 degrees c - Uses 0.5 stamina for each use and can only be used one attack and then deactivates. The fire from this technique does not damage him while its activate. This is because of a special thin layer of dragon scales that cover his hands and only have the effect of negating the flames heat.

Addition boosts to stats and kido

Raises fire based kido strength and speed, therefore raising their kido number. See below for table.

Abilities

Hohō

Agility (歩法, hohō; lit. step method) is an important skill for most shinigami. Though never stated clearly it most likely relates to the Shinigami ability to walk on air using spiritual power. By collecting and solidifying Reishi beneath their feet, Shinigami can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling.[1]

Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash steps), a movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow.[2]. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to achieve higher speed and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time.

The agility and speed of Hohō can be enhanced and improved through mastery of it, concentration, and training. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Onmitsukidō.

Masters of the technique are obviously by far the fastest beings within Soul Society. Maintaining high speed movements for extended periods of time while only using the least amount of steps to achieve those movements. Masters are capable of using Advanced steps which are considerably harder to initiate. A master can possibly create new techniques but its most likely a rare occurrence. [Renjiro is a master of this technique]

History and RP sample

History:

Birth to Teenage years

Renjiro was born like any normal child of a shiningami. It was simple, relaxing and brought honour to his father as he had a first born son. As he was growing up his father taught him the ways of the Shinigami and how to become one and master their arts

Teenage to Adult ( 28 )

During this time from 13 to 28 Renjiros training changed from learning from books and from his dad to real life training and development of his skills. He developed his skills in all area to that of a 3rd seat shinigami by the age of 25 but he never put in to being a shinigami because he wanted to be care free while training and becoming powerful enough to take the captains seat of the 1st squad. On Renjiros 28th birthday his dad handed him a sword, an ancient sword that nobody in his family for 500 years had managed to control or communicate with its soul. Renjiro touched it and heard a 'hello' at which point it glowed a extremely dim red colour. His father stood shocked explaining why he was shocked and instantly put a request for Renjiro to join the soul society.

Becoming a Shinigami

The request was granted on the basis Renjiro could prove his power and worth as a shinigami. His examiner walked up and instantly attacked Renjiro with his sword. As a counter-measure Renjiro just took out his sword and blocked it using a simple blocking stance and position. Renjiro then ran backwards going upwards as well as backward into the air (about 4 meters). When this happened his sword glowed the very dim red again with a voice saying 'Damn you kid listen to me'. Renjiros reply was "What the hell this swords speaking to me". He ran at the examiner slashing at him until he ran out of breath and ended it with a final slash cutting the examiners shoulder. 'STOP!' shouted a man in the distant; it was the leader of soul society. He snapped his fingers and a team of 10 people rushed in behind him 'you boy are now a shinigami' and throw Renjiro a standard shinigami uniform 'take this, you've impressed me very much young one and please be pleased with your 3rd seat of squad 6. Be careful and don’t die like the last one'. Renjiro gulped and replied "Err thank you I guess".

Life as a Shinigami

Renjiros life as a shinigami was harsh, full of anger and death. He was surrounded by death and more comrades disappearing more than ever. The soul society needed a leader on the front lines and Renjiro took that step and stood up to the mark leading from the front. Renjiro spent many, many years killing hallows and other enemies of the soul society. He recently turned 815 and is a turning point in Renjiro life as he was recently made Vice Captain of the 3rd Squad. This is where we continue his journey and what the future itself has installed for him is unknown to all.

RP Sample:

Renjiro looks into the sky seeing all above him "Clouds ohhhh pretty clouds" he says in a sudden clamed and relaxed way. A Cero blast come at him from a distance "What the??" he says while using the hoho technique to step at high speed to move out of the way of the cero blast. He starts to laugh "Hey fancy seeing you here!" another cero blast appears from the distance but Renjiro just gets his sword and stops it in its tracks and then sidesteps to right sending the cero blast into the distance "MWHA!!!!". The Vaizard ducks out the way and steps downwards towards Renjiro and says "So my old friend, I see your still ugly as ever" Renjiros face turns to rage and shouts "BURN THE HEAVENS SI!!!" with that his Zanpakuto transforms and Renjiro slashes in a vertical fashion towards the Vaizard, releasing a huge vertical slash of burning hot flames aiming start forward to slash at the Vaizard "NEVER CALL ME UGLY!!!" he continues to slash in many different plains of angles "and it’s done" Renjiro looks at the Vaizards body drop to the door lifeless "Serves you right for calling me ugly"

Due to the power of his shikai form renjiro can manipulate any fire kido upto level 40. However due to renjiro creating this fire it doesnt effect him even it the fire is directly on his skin contact

Fire Kidou encompasses all fire based attacks that are not natural which means this is an all subjugate to 40 defense which i'm not allowing for a shikai. also you're not getting that defense against your fire again it's ridiculous. If you don't feel like getting burned get the fire the hell away from you it's that simple.

With slight movements of Kaiton ryū Renjiro can manipulate any fire coming at him within reason.

Stamina drains per x amount of whips

raising the tempature on it and of renjiros fire attacks to 2,000 °C and stopping just before the hilt. The tempature stops at the hilt because it has fire and heat absorbtion properties built into the raw materials used when forging the sword. However due to renjiro creating this fire it doesnt effect him even it the fire is directly on his skin contact.

First you name me one heat absorbing material that will absorb this type of heat and stay cool.

Second Ambient temperature. This heat will reach you and will only lose roughly 200 degrees before it burns you. Also i've said it in your shikai take the touching your skin stuff out this fire will burn you if close enough end of story.you don't see Yamamoto using Ryujin Jakka to set himself on fire now do you?

The only exception to this is when he tries to manipulate his opponents kidos then he can only manipulate level 70 -75 fire basied kido. With kido level 76+ Renjiro would only be able to bend it off target but not control it. Anything above 95, cannot be controled or bent.

lower this stuff a lot. you're still manipulating a lot of the other users fire without drawbacks and you're still making it miss you up to level 95 and then you have other techniques to help you dodge that too either you massive stamina drain this to the point that you expend more stamina then the creator to control this or you take it out because honestly your stuff has gotten tiring to the point that arties has

No You're not absorbing others fire and it's not gonna replenish your stamina this would make you a tank. aside from the fact that as is your bankai fills all your stats AND can be used mor than once per topic AND can manipulate other fires this on top of that makes you a tank and that's not happening so take absorption out

Fire Dragons Boost - Fire will erupt from renjiros feet enabling a speed boost to all his movements. This can be used is combination to a shunpo to increase his speed even more. Uses 0.5 stamina and can last for a second to 30 seconds (aka 3 paragraphs to a whole post)

First i have a problem. Your skin tech. First How much can it block, what are it's weaknesses, what are the drawbacks to it. Answer that and put those answers in and i'll recheck it

take the movement thing out. you don't get to use a speed booster in here you're strong enough

yeah this isn't happening unless you have some serious stamina drain added to the kidou's original affects

Advantages

Due to the very nature of dragons scales it is not effected by physical weapons because of its hardness and pressure releaving properties. The dragons scales have a remarkable ability to stop fire kido and absorb all heat from the attack. All lightning kido attack strength are reduced by 5 kido points

Disadvantages

Due to its affinity to fire its weakness is ice (not water). Due to the coldness of the icey conditions it makes the scales hard to move in and therefore reducing his speed by half. Physical ice attacks have no real damage to the scales but if used in a binding kido or blizzard condition then this will add a additional 2 kido points of damage. This is because the scales will be ridgid and any attack in those conditions will be more effective.

Nahhh....

You're saying that a sword can't cut through you, and you absorb fire? And that ICE is your only weakness? C'mon.... Why not water too? Can water affect fire too? Or would that make too much sense? ^^

Not only is it's only weakness ice, but it doesn't really do much. The scales are still there, and we don't know how to get them off of you. From what you describe, there IS no way to get them off. But if you so happen to be a lucky person who has the ice element, then we can slow you down? Weaken the armor up? I'm guessing that the larger percentage of this entire site who does not control ice is screwed, going against you?

Suggestion: Either make it so you are affected by something more then ice and binding kido, OR, take out the part where it says that you can't be hurt by physical attacks.

The Fire Dragon Fists and the Fire dragon Breath is fine, but the scales need to change.

70 -75 fire basied kido. With kido level 76 - 82 Renjiro

Lower.

Dragon scales i can see where your all coming from ill work it that to get it more adjusted.

the manipulation to be lowered i dont get its already a bankai release ability and its 20 levels of kido below my own so i dont see why it should be lowered than that.

And yes i messed up on my grammer there. havent a clue why that happened lol. ill edit that. it could be he can only absort his opponents fire kido or natural flames. Considering the small amout of stamina recovered and the kidos strength only being weaked by a small amount that still leaves a huge amount of force left in the remains of the opponents kido. The absorbsion leaves renjiro open to attacks as he has to concentrate on the absorbtion. That presents a huge amount of danger as well. On the other hand i could remove it but then in my opinion the bankai stats replenish should be put in its place.

Im not aiming for an arguement im just putting my point of view across. Feel free to pm me or reply here for further discussion

Anything above 83, cannot be controled or bent.' due to the fact that a VC can use upto a level 90 kido - renjiro if in bankai can manipulate a kido of 93 so why cant he manipulate a kido level of 1- 75 of his opponents that is lower than 15 kido below his own?

because it's overpowering. You're not leaving room to be beaten. I'm tired of going through this s*** with you renji so you know what you go ahead and fit your character anyway you like and I'll put up a new rule saying no one HAS to rp with you if they don't want to you'll see real fast just how few people will want to battle you much less converse with you because this s*** is stupid you have virtually no weak points that we haven't TOLD you to put in so I'm done and i wash my hands of this filth *throws in a towel* Good day to you sir

    Aright you do realize even if the hilt absorbs heat you would still be affected by heat because of the basics that heat is constantly flowing through the sword and even though it hits a maximum temperature of 1000 degree’s celsius you still have to add in the effects of it constantly burning and adding up and up to either A) Melt your tungsten B) causing you to dehydrate due to heating up the surroundings so much.

    Therefor you need to either increase the stamina drain of .2 to 1. Or completely add in a new stamina drain.

    A level 30 kido would take a stamina drain of 1 to a vice captain so please make your whips the same.

It changes to baby blue signifying its change in combustion state from incomplete combustion to complete combustion, raising the speed and strength of the fire but stopping just before the hilt. Because of the strength and power of his bankai renjiro needs a lot of concentration and pure will power to manipulate this type of fire and therefore lasts for 10 posts and has a cool down of 4. When his bankai is active it uses 0.5 stamina point for every post after the activation post, regardless of what he is doing.

    Bump this amount up to 1 stamina per post please. Change the cool down from 4 to 5 posts.

  7. To perform these techniques he must surrender his sword by imbedding it in the earth. By doing so the sword will burst into flames and instantly be absorbed into Renjiro body causing no harm or damage at all to his body. His normal fire manipulation is still in effect but he uses his hands to manipulate and form the fire instead of using this zanpaktou.

    Before i look at these techniques please tell me how his body isn’t harmed from absorbing fire and if possible add in a stamina drain for absorbing the fire since i don't see how its possible to absorb fire with no damage being taken.

What me and kaji agreed on

1 - taking off flames on sword so no 0.25 stamina drain every post required. the hilt will absorb any heat given off when creating fire. so no side effects.

2 - doing as said in comments

3 - 1 stamina point for every fire kido i take control of

4 - doing A, agreed apon 1 stamina point to manipulate - 1.5 stamina to bend

5 - sorted out will add that in its 1000 degrees c

6 - due to taking the flames off the blade this is void (agreed apon)

7 - changing the sword to decompose to fire reishi that cannot be absorbed by anyone or anything other than renjiro himself (eg quincies can use the reishi given off to form arrows etc) but will cost one stamina point to absorb it

Fire Dragons Skin - His entire skin turns to scales making his skin as tough as re-enforced steel. Uses 3 stamina per use - indefinate use until renjiro returns his form to normal.

Physical attacks (like punches) or physically formed elements (ice or earth spear) have very little damage (reduced to a 10 stat strength) however the force behind them can still knock renjiro back.

In addition being that dragons are naturally fire basied creatures the scales have the abilities take fire attacks head on and nulify their heat attacks. However nulifying the heat effects of a fire kido does not mean that the force and strength behind a fire kido is negated at all.

The main weaknesses of the scale like armour is the fact that it is fire basied. Therefore its logical weaknesses are water and ice. All water and ice technqiues are given an extra 10 points effectiveness if the technique has a 50 or lower kido ranking. On the other hand if the kido is greater than 51+ than the extra effectiveness is +5.

The unusual elements that have no real direct weakness or strength to the scale like armour is earth and lightning. The earth element has no real effect on the armour as its use is mainly physically formed projectiles. Lightning on the other hand is the opposite. Its damage is the same as if the scales wasnt there but the lightning is instantly transfered out of the body using the layout of the scales to direct it to the ground as quickly as possible. This generally means that the potential damage of a lightning kido is reduced by 1/3. An additional note is that non elemental binding kido is 100% effective as if the armour wasnt there.

Fire Dragons Fists - Fire will engulf both his hands and to an easy 800 degrees c - Uses 0.5 stamina for each use and can only be used one attack and then deactivates. The fire from this technique does not damage him while its activate.

Ok final stretch...


  • Please change the 3 stamins per use and make it 1 stamina per post it is utalized. This is due to having only 3 stamina burn for something that you can use for unlimited amount of topics is a bit op.

  • Change reduced to a 10 stat strength to reduced by 5 strength. Reinforced Steel is easily destroyable by basic means and simple cutting with enough force so bringing it instantly down to a 10 in strength is a bit much.

  • Heres a deal: you can nullify any fire based kido below 25 and reduce anything higher by 50%.

  • Do not lower any lightning based attacks but instead i’ll allow anything that is supposed to paralyze you to only cause nubmness when faced with a lightning attack.

  • The flame fists, Yah how do you not take damage from fire directly on your hands? It either needs a burn effect to your hands or a bigger stamina drain.
